Manila, Philippines — Daiichi Properties, one of the country’s leading real estate developers, has taken a significant step in accelerating its digital innovation journey by partnering with ePLDT, the ICT subsidiary of PLDT, to upgrade its cloud storage and enhance its cybersecurity defenses.

With a portfolio of award-winning projects including The Finance Centre, World Plaza, and One World Place, Daiichi Properties has earned a strong reputation for sustainable architecture, design, and engineering. Through its partnership with ePLDT, the company is expanding its innovation efforts into the digital space by using tech solutions that provide robust backup storage, enhanced operational efficiency, and substantial capital expenditure savings.

“Upgrading our cloud system marks an important step in advancing our digital innovation strategy. With ePLDT as our partner, we can strengthen the way we operate today while building the foundation for long-term resilience and growth,” said Charmaine Uy, President and COO of Daiichi Properties.

ePLDT enabled Daiichi Properties to upgrade to Huawei Cloud, a cost-efficient, scalable cloud infrastructure capable of supporting the company’s unique business needs.  The platform also enables faster data transfer, allowing Daiichi Properties to streamline internal processes and improve agility.

Additionally, ePLDT, being a Core Partner of Huawei, is capable of delivering optimized solutions and direct technical support to clients.  This means that Daiichi Properties can benefit from customized cloud deployment, backed by ePLDT’s 24/7 help desk and dedicated backend support, ensuring seamless performance and reliable uptime.

Alongside leveraging cloud technology, Daiichi Properties has strengthened its cybersecurity posture, also with the help of ePLDT, which has its own security team that can easily integrate cybersecurity components into the cloud solutions.  ePLDT also deployed Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) and equipped Daiichi Properties with robust protective measures to secure its systems and sensitive data.

“ePLDT’s cybersecurity solutions gave us the confidence to operate in a digital-first environment by mitigating risks, securing our assets, ensuring business continuity, and maintaining the trust of our stakeholders,” added Uy.

“By providing Daiichi Properties with secure and scalable technology solutions, we aim to help them focus on what they do best: building world-class commercial buildings that deliver long-term value to their customers. We’re here to support their digital innovation journey as they continue to raise the bar in property development,” said Victor S. Genuino, President and CEO of ePLDT.
