During the recently concluded Management Association of the Philippines (M.A.P.) CEO Academy Forum on ‘Cyber Resilience: A New Board Room Priority’ at the Peninsula Manila, Makati City, Angel Redoble—ePLDT, Inc.’s new Chief Information Security Officer—explained that achieving business resiliency in the increasingly digital era requires a coordinated and holistic approach to cyber security with the proliferation of threats.
“Attacks are becoming more and more sophisticated at the time we thought that we already have the right cyber security architecture in place. But can we achieve cyber resiliency just by equipping our organizations with robust infrastructure? We have to collaborate, converge and synergize our efforts to be successful in implementing this effort. We have to put the right policies and the right people to manage and mitigate the risks,” Redoble said. “Cyber resiliency will result to business resiliency, and only by taking a broad approach can companies be confident in the digital future.”
