ePLDT Inc. “ePLDT”, a fully owned subsidiary of PLDT Inc., will be hosting a webinar entitled “The Rise of the Philippines as the Next Hyperscale Destination in Southeast Asia”. The purpose of the webinar is to create awareness among global hyper-scalers from the United States and Asia-Pacific, including the Philippines, on the Philippine market’s potential in comparison to the potential of its neighboring countries in terms of strategic risks and local government support on hyper-scalers using data and cloud services.
In accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 201
2 and other applicable Privacy Laws, we share with you the principles that govern how your personal data will be collected, processed, and shared when you register for this ePLDT-hosted Webinar on Data Center Growth and participate during and after the webinar.
Why we collect and process your personal data
This webinar will be organized, co-hosted, and promoted with the assistance of S&P Global Market Intelligence LLC (“S&P”), whose professional services we have retained. ON24, Inc., a sub-processor of S&P specializing in hosting virtual conference and webinar events, will provide the registration page and webinar portal.
When you register for the webinar, we collect your name, email address, job title, company name, and country of residence. We collect this information to manage your registration and provide you with access to the webinar.
We use the information you provide for the following purposes:
A. To manage your registration for the webinar
Registration to this webinar is FREE, and it shall grant you access to the webinar through ON24 platform only.
To create your account, we collect and process your Personal Data (Name, Email Address, Company Name, Designation, Industry, Country, State, and Region) through an online registration facility. During the webinar proper, you will be asked to provide your name, to properly address you, and email address, to validate your webinar access.
B. To communicate with you
Upon successful registration, you will receive an email confirmation from do_not_reply@on24event.com containing the event details, reminders and/or other information related to the webinar. The confirmation email will also provide instructions on how to join the webinar.
For your safety, please only follow links from do_not_reply@on24event.com or https://wcc.on24.com/. Please be advised that S&P Global, 451 Research, ON24, ePLDT and PLDT Enterprise Business Group shall not be held liable for any damages resulting from clicking event links and/or reminders sent through other email addresses or channels not indicated above.
C. To provide post-registration Support
If you wish to edit or cancel your event registration, please send an email to ePLDTMarCom@epldt.com. Our webinar team will respond to your cancellation request within two (2) business days upon receipt of your email.
If you change your mind about the initial consent you provided to receive emails from PLDT Enterprise Business Group, its subsidiaries, and/or its employees regarding event-related reminders, or sales and marketing information or offers, you may send an email to ePLDTMarCom@epldt.com. Your registration for the webinar will not be affected by your choices. Before we delete your information from our email notification list, we will validate your request via email by asking for your full name and email address.
Why your personal data is shared
Your personal data will be collected and processed on ePLDT’s behalf by S&P and ON24 as part of our engagement of their professional services. When we share and process your personal data, we ensure that it is done on a confidential basis, through secure channels, and in compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. Only personnel with a need-to-know will have access to your personal data.
We hope to provide you with additional relevant information about products and services that may be of interest to you by sharing your personal information with our subsidiaries and affiliates. These communications may contain details about our products, services, promotions, or forthcoming events. When you give us your consent to marketing communications, you authorize ePLDT and/or the PLDT Enterprise Business Group (through our Relationship Managers) to send you emails regarding the products and services in which you expressed interest during the webinar.

How your personal data is protected
User behavior and activity tracking are inherent in the ON24 platform. When you log in as a webinar participant, all your activities are logged/recorded in the platform. We encourage you to read through the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy of On24, so that you may understand ON24’s privacy practices as a virtual event platform provider.

The integrity, confidentiality, and security of your personal data are important to us. This is why we strictly enforce this Privacy Notice and have implemented technical, organizational, and physical security measures that are designed to protect your information from unauthorized or fraudulent access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, and other unlawful activities. Your personal data is also protected from other natural and human dangers. We likewise require these security measures from both S&P and ON24.
We will collect and retain all registered Personal Data in their platform for no longer than 45 days after the webinar. After that period, all event records, including Personal Data collected by S&P and On24 on our behalf, will be turned over to ePLDT Inc. Personal data collected from qualified leads shall be stored for 6 months only after the webinar.
Your rights and choices
Privacy laws give you certain rights to your personal data. Subject to exceptions under applicable law, you are entitled to request:
- Information about and access to the personal data that we process about you;
- Correction of your personal data if it is found to be outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete;
- Erasure of your personal data in cases where it is no longer needed to achieve the legitimate purpose of its processing;
- Restriction of our processing of your personal data in limited circumstances; and
- Portability of your personal data so that you may receive a copy thereof or that we transmit the same to another company on your behalf.

If you believe that your privacy rights have been violated in your participation in this webinar, we encourage you to contact the ePLDT Data Privacy Officer to resolve your complaint. Depending on the applicable Privacy Laws, you may also have recourse to your data protection regulator or courts of law. For attendees from the Philippines, you also have the right to go directly to the National Privacy Commission or to make a claim before a competent court.
